For the Tampa Bay Lacrosse Academy

The Tampa Bay Lacrosse Academy was formed in July, 2009 when a few coaches gathered to discuss the expansion of play in Tampa Bay, the In School Club Model, and the various means with which to participate in lacrosse during the off season so that you could work on your game all year round. The overall consensus of this seasoned group of coaches was, "something is missing" ? 

Then there was some thought on determining what was missing and providing a solution. We looked at the various means with which to continue playing through out the Summer and Fall, the time commitment, and the Financial commitment.

At present there are Summer Leagues and programs that offer travel to both In State tournaments and Out of State tournaments. The Out of State tournament concept is to travel to "Recruiting Based tournaments" which would hopefully provide your son with a chance on being seen by a college coach and the In State model provided quality competition and had the attraction offering lower economics. Recently the In State tournaments have offerd very strong competition.

We have decided that there has been less of an emphasis placed on the Basic Fundamentals of the game of Lacrosse and our Focus is to provide different forms of learning environments, whether they be mini camps, private lesson, or our Tampa Top 100 camp in the Fall. Our belief is that some players learn better in small groups, while some prefer one on one personalized instruction. 

We provide free assessments, will discuss and develop a plan of action, and focus on the fundamentals as we improve your son's lacrosse skill sets.
