Paul Goldsmith brings a wealth of knowledge, playing experience, National Championship experience, and coaching experience to the Academy. Having started playing the game since age 7 his success at all levels of play make him one of the most accomplished Lacrosse players. During his standout career at Roanoke College Paul embarked on a 4 year career that ended at the Division III National Championship Game vs. Hobart. During the 3 game playoff series Paul set a then NCAA record for 13 goals in the 3 games including 6 vs. Washington College in the National Semi-Finals. Goldsmith's recent induction into the Long Island Lacrosse Hall of Fame puts him amongst the "elite of the elite" with regards to Long Island Lacrosse. Since the Long island Chapter's founding in 1984 over 40,000 young men have played lacrosse in Long Island's High Schools. At present there are only 272 members which places Goldsmith in the upper 1/2 percentile of these 40,000 players. Additionally, Paul's father John Goldsmith was inducted into the Long Island Hall of Fame in 1989 which places Paul as one of only 3 Father-Son inductee's in this Prestigous Chapter.

He continued his playing days in Tampa, Florida for the Tampa Bay Lacrosse Club which he would go on to Coach for 5 years. Paul continued his commitment to the development of lacrosse in Florida by spearheading the 1st Season for the East Lake High School program located in Palm Harbor, Florida. He has directed Travel Teams in the Tampa Bay area for the past 4 years which include the Tampa Bay Fire, Tampa Tribe, and Tampa Bay Sandsharks. Additionally, Paul has spent the past 4 seasons as a coach with Team Florida's U-17 and U-19 program. Paul spent his youth growing up in Levittown, Long Island and played together, side by side, for over 10 years with former St. Andrew's Legendary coach and Team Florida Director, Jeff Goldberg. In the past year Paul has Co-Directed the Team Tampa program, one which places an emphasis on travelling to the highest quality based recruitment tournaments in the US. This past year Team Tampa competed in the King of the Hill in Philadelphia and the Tri-State event in Princeton, New Jersey, 2 of the most highly attended tournaments by top level college coaches.

Paul Goldsmith, Head Coach of the East Lake Eagles Lacrosse team has been voted the West Florida Lacrosse League's "Coach of the Year". The Eagles were a first year program this year. They won the Western Division which earned them a spot in the League's Championship Game versus Jesuit.
